Swing Leaf Chalkboards

Chalk Swing Leaf Boards

Chalk swing leaf boards for sale in South Africa from Bestboard, a Johannesburg manufacturer trading since 1996. A chalk swing leaf board is a wall-mounted 7-surface expandable chalkboard system. A fixed centre panel sits between two fixed outer panels, with two double-sided swing flaps hinged where the centre panel meets each outer panel. The flaps rotate either way, so when a surface fills up you swing a fresh one into use and keep writing without stopping to erase. Every board gives you double its wall space in chalk writing surface: from 4.32 square metres on a 900mm x 2400mm wall span for the 900mm x 1200mm, up to 14.40 square metres on a 1200mm x 6000mm wall span for the 1200mm x 3000mm magnetic. Priced from R7,700 for the 900mm x 1200mm non-magnetic up to R17,070 for the 1200mm x 3000mm magnetic. Free delivery nationwide.

Magnetic vs Non-Magnetic Chalk Swing Leaf Boards

Non-magnetic chalk swing leaf boards use a coated Masonite surface, the classic heavy-duty chalk writing surface for schools and training facilities where magnets are not required. Magnetic boards use a coated steel surface that holds magnets, allowing you to attach printed notices, teaching aids and documents directly to any panel alongside your chalk writing. Lines and squares are available as optional extras on all sizes and both surface types.

Choosing the Right Size

The 900mm x 1200mm is the most compact option, suited to smaller classrooms and training rooms where wall space is limited but you still need significantly more writing surface than a standard board. The 1200mm x 1500mm and 1200mm x 1800mm are the most popular sizes for standard South African classrooms and corporate training rooms. The 1200mm x 2400mm gives 11.52 square metres of chalk writing surface, and the 1200mm x 3000mm, available in magnetic only, is the largest in the range at 14.40 square metres. Both are designed for large classrooms, lecture halls and training facilities where writing sessions run long and stopping to erase breaks momentum.
