What makes a whiteboard magnetic?

A magnetic whiteboard has a steel sheet behind the writing surface, so magnets grip firmly through the dry-erase coating. You can pin up notes, charts, printed documents and teaching aids and still write around them. If you only ever use marker pens, a non-magnetic whiteboard does the same writing job for less.

Built for daily use

Every magnetic whiteboard is finished with a hard-wearing dry-erase surface chosen to resist ghosting, the faint shadow that cheaper boards keep after wiping. Each board ships with a built-in pen tray, a rust-resistant anodised aluminium frame and rounded corner protectors, and arrives ready to mount with fittings included.

Mounting and care

Boards arrive with mounting fittings included. The smaller sizes can be hung by one person on a wall plug and screw, and the large boards are best fitted by two people onto a masonry wall. Clean daily with a dry-erase eraser, and use whiteboard cleaning fluid for a deeper clean.

Common questions about magnetic whiteboards

Are magnetic whiteboards better than non-magnetic?
They write and wipe the same. The difference is the steel backing, which lets you hold paper and planning cards with magnets. Choose magnetic for boardrooms, project walls and classrooms. Choose non-magnetic to save money where magnets are not needed.

Will a magnetic whiteboard ghost or stain?
Our surface is chosen to resist ghosting under daily use. Wipe regularly, and use whiteboard cleaning fluid for stubborn marks.
