Correct Board Mounting Height by Grade

The bottom of the main writing area should be mounted at the following heights from the floor:

• Grade R to 3: 650mm to 700mm from floor to the main writing line
• Grade 4 to 7: 750mm to 800mm
• Grade 8 and up: 850mm

Correct mounting height ensures learners at the front are not straining upward and those at the back have an unobstructed sightline to the full writing area.
